Baby Jerome was not feeling well again since last Saturday starting with serious diarrhea followed by continuous high fever. My wife and I had to cancel all the holiday activities planned earlier just to take care of this poor baby at home. Just imagine that he suffered from 30 over times of diarrhea in the first 3 days that we had to get his diaper changed almost hourly during the daytime. Situation went worst on the 4th day as he suffered from acute fever in the midnight. Eventually we had to adhere 3 pieces of “Kool Fever” on him just to bring his body temperature down.

It was a tough job to feed him the medicine since he would cry and kept his mouth shut whenever he saw I brought the medicine. At the end, I became the bad daddy who keep on forcing him to open his mouth and made him cried louder until vomit.

Last Sunday morning was little Jerome’s first visit to the barbershop. In fact this was his second hair cut since he was born and his first hair cut was done by my mother on his full moon day.

We tried to reach the barbershop early to avoid the long queue but obviously we were not the early bird. Anyway, the owner was kind enough to do the haircut for Jerome first so that we don’t have to wait too long. Since the salon chair was too big for little Jerome then the barber just put a timber plank across the chair arm so that he can sit higher. Throughout the hair cut, he was a bit nervous and not dare to move around as the barber trimmed his hair with the powered hair trimmer. Luckily the whole process only took less than 5 minutes to complete. :-)

“Who are you?”

“Why you are here?”

“Do you know me?”

These are the questions that my grandmother threw to me during my recent visit few weeks ago. Obviously she cannot recognize me anymore and suddenly i become a  stranger for her. It is a disaster for me when someone who i knew for years suddenly ask me such questions.

Time is flying fast and most of us never realise that our parent or grandparent are getting older too fast until we saw their health problems arose. That’s the reason for me to come back to Kuching after i graduated and stayed close to my parent all these years. I believe the time that i spent with them is definitely worthwhile.

Happy mother day to all the mothers in the world.

Chrysanthemum is a very common flower that easily found on the market as Chinese are fond of using this little flower as offering on the alters. These flower is so common that many people would not bother to have a closer look on them. In fact, this little flower is just attractive like other flower if you spend a few seconds look into its little petals.

Beautiful thing is everywhere. Spend a few minutes look around then you will discover the beautiful thing that may cheer up your day. :-)

Today is the Earth Day, a day to remind everyone of us to be more concern for our environment and our earth. Together let us make our earth a better place for our children. :-)

This cute baby with fair skin and brown hair always attracts many people attention whenever we go during the weekend. Sometime those people even came closer just to hold his hand and play with him. Last Sunday while we were having our breakfast at one of the famous “kopitiam” in town, some people even called him as “AngMoKia”. It suddenly reminded me that i used to have a similar nickname too when i was a toddler. A friend of my dad always called me “AngMoKia” whenever he saw me, even until now he would still call me “AngMoKia” when i meet him. So baby, you are the AngMoKia Jr.

Lots of Chinese believe that this potted plant is the FengShui plant which can bring good luck and prosperity to their family whenever the plant blooming. I have no idea how true is the believe but i was glad to see this plant bloomed about a month ago after i replaced a larger pot for it. :-)

My baby boy was not feeling well for the last whole week starting with minor fever then follow with vomiting and rashes across his body. The poor little boy looked tire and always crying for mummy’s pamper. My wife and I were very worried since this was the very first time we encountered such situation since he was born. My wife even measured his body temperature hourly at night just to ensure that his fever was within control. Luckily he started to recover after the rashes disappeared few days later.

1 ̊C increment in body temperature might mean nothing for many people but it is unbearable for the baby boy. As I experienced through this incident, I believe that if we do concern about that 1 ̊C increment in our baby’s body temperature then we shall be more concern about the global warming issue as our earth simply would not recovered so soon just like the baby boy.
