Wen Wen is my 5 months old nephew from Brunei.  He is so adorable and love to smile to everyone who say “AngKu” to him. :-) At the age of 5 months old, his weight is about 9.2kg :-o making him a big big baby as ompared to the others. I really salute  the baby sitter and my Mum who can carry him for hours just to pamper him.

We all had a great time with him during the past few days when sister brought him back to Kuching to celebrate my dad’s birthday. Obviously he is the answer for our family joy and happiness. I am looking forward for my coming little boy in this September, hopefully he is as adorable as Jonathan and Wen Wen. :-)

Just back from the clinic. Doctor measured the baby weight as 557gram 577grams and revised the estimated delivery date to 22nd September. The unltrasound showed that the baby’s body is a bit small while the head and leg are normal. i guess the baby must be got a big head just like me. :-P Doctor also confirmed that our baby is a little boy. :-)

Many people thought that making rice dumpling is a difficult proccess. For me it is not that complicated just that we need to understand the proper procedure and technique. It is the technique to repetatively press all ingredients firmly in sequential order that produce the solid and nicely shaped dumpling .

I documented the step by step procedure in simple photos just to share with you all here. Try it with your family members and i am sure you will enjoy the good time just like me. ;-)

Happy Dumpling Festival@DuanWuJie :-)

Well, since Ping ask me this question so i just post the photos in both colour and monochrome for her to see the differences. I always shoot in the colour RAW format simply because most of us prefer to see vibrant colour photo. Sometine i will convert the photo into black and white just to create a feel of simplisity and relaxing. Black and white is simply beautiful too. :-)

Last saturday my 3 years old nephew, Jonathan asked me to take his photo when he saw me capturing the rice dumpling making process at my parent home. He is a very cute, creative but naughty boy that just cant stop for a second. It is impossible to get him pose properly so I used high shutter speed and off camera flash just to freeze these photo while he was playing around.

Time flies. I only reliased that Dumpling Festival or DuanWuJie is coming soon when my mum and mother-in-law were busy buying the ingredients for rice dumpling like the glutinous rice, dried shrimp, chestnut and bamboo leave recently.

Eventhough nowadays rice dumpling or Bak Chang is commonly on sale at the Kopitiam throughout the year, our families still make own dumpling that simply incomparably delicious. The ingredients such as pork, dried shrimp, chestnut, mushroom and yam paste (Oni) are prepared a day before and well marinated with mum’s secret recipe. Then followed by a lengthy and tiring process to steam the glutinous rice, fry the ingredients, wrap into the bamboo leave and finally boil for few hours until it is cooked.

Cant wait for this coming weekend to help my mum to make the dumpling. Eventhough i don’t know how to prepare the ingredients but for sure i can wrap very nice dumpling. :-)

Yesterday was a bad bad day for me. i had serious headache and dizzy till got to ask my wife to drive me to my parent house to take a rest on our way home.

Once reached there, Mum made a big mug of glucose for me. I fell sleep soon after finished it. When i woke up, Dad made another big mug of honey glucose for me again. It really made me felt much better.

Headache made me a bad day but 2 big mugs of glucose from my parent turned the bad day into good day again. :-)

Recently weather is extremely hot. Remember to replenish more water and take good rest. :-o

Dont forget to visit our parents more frequent too ;-)

Wish you all have a good day :-)

During the recent trip to Negeri Sembilan i had the opportunity to visit 1 of the ongoing tunnel construction works in Jelebu. It is the water supply project involves construction of 12.5km length transfer tunnel across a 600m height mountain.

Initially i was a bit nervous since i was not prepared. I was doubt whether it is safe to enter as i recalled the disaster movie “Daylight” when we proceeded to the tunnel entrance Continue reading »

Tze Yong always say that i am a very discipline man. I allocated my leisure time during the weekend to my friends and family members in a very systematic way  for all the year before i get married simply because i treasure every great moments we spent together.

However life getting busier and busier since i married and moved into my new home. I tried to spare most of the time for my close friends and love ones as it used to be but obviously i had failed. I was tied up with lot of office works for the past few months. I spent most of the weekend working over the computer at home.

Lately only i realised that it had been quite sometime i did not visit my grandma since Chinese New Year. Long time i did not have breakfast with my parent even though i visit them almost every day. I only met up with my friends once a month. I miss the quality time we had together. I miss the chit-chat and laughter with them.

I wish i can have more time to spend with them,  chat with them,  share the sweet and bitter moments with them. I wish everything can go back to what it used to be but the time was not on my side.

To my grandma, mum, mother-in-law and my wife, Happy Mother Day :-)

Last by not least, to all the mothers all over the world, Happy Mother Day to you all too :-)
