It was an early sunday morning with the diffused warm sunlight gently penetrating into the bedroom through the sliding door. Little Jerome woke up early to get his cloth changed then laying in his baby cot starring at the clear blue sky outside.

I saw calmness in his eye with the peaceful sight looking forward. For me that is something which is diminishing from most of us as we grow up. Take a breath and recall when was the last time that you found calmness and peacefulness in you eyes as you wake up.

Wish you have a nice weekend. :-)

This is a speechless sunday for me. One simple mistake made by a irresponsible contractor and driver spoilt my whole sunday mood.

The contractor simply setup their machinery on the middle of the road without proper barricade and warning signage from  a distance away to give proper warning to other road users. Then at 1:30am came the speedy pick-up that collided with the machinery at high speed. The truck subsequently swung and hit my car parked at the roadside parking. The irresponsible driver then run away in his ISUZU pick-up even some people shout to ask him stop. Fortunately someone noted down his plat no. and gave to me, that is QAL65xx.My car was seriously damaged at both sides and the bottom part that the broken the back wheel arm. In fact there was another VIVA that collided with the machinery again shortly after the 1st collision and few motorbike slipped due to the oil spilled from the machinery. I made the police report in the mid night at 2 a.m. yet the police officer only said: “Kami akan cari itu driver”. That’s the only answer i got.

8 hours after the accident finally i saw the contractor staff appeared. This time the answer that i got is that: “It is no point for you to scold me, we did barricade and put the warning light. It is the council that not allow us to put the signage at a further distance away from our machinery”

I was deeply disappointed and replied him:”Do you know that your warning light was never turn on, how you expect other to brake in such a short distane when your signage was just in front of the machine  and how were you feel if you park your car here and someone hit it yet telling you it is not his fault”.

That guy suddenly silent.

Later on another guy claimed himself as the consultant told my dad that it was the Main contractor that neglected such safety precaution.

I thought that this project’s Japanese and Malaysian public listed company joint venture shall be putting the public safety and interest in the first priority as  their works are everywhere on the road over the whole city area but obviously that is not the case.

I am deeply disappointed with these typical M.S attitude which are hit & run and pointing finger when unfortunate event happened.

As mentioned earlier, I spent whole wednesday morning in hospital waiting for my wife to go through the ECV. However the procedure was called off haftway due to her irregular heat beat problem. She was then being refered to the cardilogy specialist for further medical check-up in the afternoon. After trapped in hospital for almost one whole day, the doctor made an appointment for her to be admitted to the hospital on next week and most probably will go through cesarean delivery if the baby still in breech position.

Our general hospital are really so crowded that i saw so many patients went in and out from the operation theater while i wait for my wife outside the day care ward next door. My wife met a young native pregnant lady from Sri Aman who came here alone for the ECV procedure as well. Just imagine that she need to travel for almost 200km just to reach such medical services and then waited at the hospital untill that evening for her transport to pick her back to Sri Aman again. We felt sympathy for  a pregnant lady to travel such long and tiring journey alone but i guessed that might be due to financial difficulty that refrain her relative from accompanying her. Luckily the doctor was kind enough to ask the nurse to show this lady the way to canteen and let her to wait inside the ward as the weather outside were so hot and humid.

It was a tiring day for me at the hospital but at least i saw the kindness of the medical staffs that really care for the patients despite of the heavy workload they face everyday. I think our monister shall learn from those medical staffs rather than giving non-constructive comments and put the blame on other people.

Shot this photo at my parent’s house this morning. These nylon strings that hang on the kitchen wall look similar generally but in deep they are so differnt either in terms of their individual size, length or color.

These string reminded me of the “1 Malaysia” concept which is all over the paper and electronic media recently. It is a bit frustrating that after being independent for 52 years, our government seen to be rolling back to the starting point and hardselling that all Malaysian are the same and should be united under the idea of “Satu Malaysia”. Nowaday even a little kid can shout “Satu Malaysia” loudly but does it means anything?

We can’t deny that we all are Malaysian. Since kindergarden, we were taught to respect every races and religious and we were also taught that we all are living together peacefully in this country. Why the government still need such concept to be repeated non-stop wherever we go?

Eventhough we heard of the “Satu Malaysia” concept for quite sometime already but why we still see so many things that happened around us that is totally contradict to it. We saw politicians sparkling the racial issue just to fight for their own benefits, we saw people disrespecting other religion, we saw unequal privileges but sad to say we hardly see the truth when it come to the interests of the public.

I believe as we grew up many of us started to reliase that eventhough we all are Malaysian but in deep we are so different. Just like the string, they look alike in general but they become mess when hang together simply because they are uniquely different.

Last week i faced the problem of faulty harddisk with my 10 months old Dell laptop. The system simply unable to deter any harddisk whenever it started up. The worst thing was that i was unable to access to the Dell’s online support for troubleshooting as my laptop was totally dead. My only choice was to get my brother-in-law to assist me to do some troubleshooting over the phone and report the hardware fault to Dell via his pc.

Shortly after the report was made, i received an email from the technical support officer informing that the arrangement had been made for the technician to be onsite to fix the system for me on the next bussiness day. As promised, the technician came to my office to get the system fixed on the next day. The consignment slip on the box indicated that the new harddisk was sent from K.L about an hour after i received the email. The whole process from reporting the fault until system fixed merely took less than 2 business days. Considering the time for the replacement part to be delivered from K.L to Kuching, i would say that Dell technical support is doing a great job to get my system fixed.

The technician only took few minutes to get the faulty part replaced but it took me hours of time just to reinstall those softwares and updates simply because of the broadband service in our country which still far below expectation.

Just back from the clinic. Doctor measured the baby weight as 557gram 577grams and revised the estimated delivery date to 22nd September. The unltrasound showed that the baby’s body is a bit small while the head and leg are normal. i guess the baby must be got a big head just like me. :-P Doctor also confirmed that our baby is a little boy. :-)
