I believe many people including myself had decided to cancel some of our credit cards when the government announced that the credit card tax will be imposed starting early this year. The RM50 tax on each principle card and RM25 on supplementary card are going to bring huge tax income for the government but it becomes a burden for most of the card holders just like me as it going to cost me RM500 for nothing since I own about 10 credit cards from different banks. Out of these 10 cards only 2 of those cards are frequently swiped and I keep the rest of the cards simply because there are no annual fees imposed on them.
The bank officer did inform me that even though I submitted the cancellation form but the head office is very likely going to re-issue another card for me. Obviously he did not cheat me; I received another upgraded card with increased credit limit from them shortly after my cancellation. I was shocked and can’t believe it when I saw the credit limit. It is 7X of my previous limit and even exceeding my annual income.
May be they just simply push the credit limit to retain their customer but is it going to create another financial problem in the future? Pushing the financial limit is totally different from pushing the camera’s ISO. It is far too risky for me to push my credit to that limit.

Frankly speaking i am not a chocolate lover but i love to try different type of chocolate. Recently my aunt brought us a box of chocolate from England during her holiday back in Kuching. The chocolates look so delicious that i just can’t make up my mind which one to choose so I randomly picked a star-shape chocolate truffle out of the box and put into my mouth. To my surprise, it was a gingerbread chocolate troffle. I never thought that the strong gingerbread taste can merge with those sweet chocolate.
Life is just like a box of chocolate, you never know what you will get. :-)

Beginning of 2010, i was transferred to my new project site at Samarahan which we previously completed the phase 1 development about 3 years back.
Initially it sound like a good news for me as it only takes me 10 minutes drive from my house to the office. Anywhere, the problem arises as every morning i got to send my little boy to my parent’s house which take me about another 25 minutes drive too. The worst thing is that my house is located in between my parent’s house and my office which means i need to travel longer distance. As a consequence, i spend about 2 hours on the road daily just to travel in between them and the heavy traffic in the evening hours really exhausting my mind. May be 2 hours drive is nothing for somebody but it is really annoying for me to spend 2 hours on the road for that merely 60km drive.
The same junctions which were jammed few years back remain the same even though i saw many road widening works are in progress. Is that our traffic grow too fast? or our traffic management far lagging behind.
My last visit to KL last year saw lot of OldTown White Coffee outlets in town but unfortunately my trip was so short that i can’t drop by any of them just to have a cup of the famous OldTown white coffee. It was lately when OldTown White Coffee opened their first outlet in Sarawak then only i managed to have the chance to have a sip of the famous cafe.
Last Saturday, my wife and i decided to have our lunch at OldTown White Coffee in KIA while we were waiting for my parent’s flight from Brunei. Surprisingly there were not much customers there during the afternoon. Well, the white coffee really taste good till the last drop but frankly speaking the foods are below my expectation. The foods look much different from the photographic pictures shown in the menu and the taste also can’t match the authentic famous Ipoh Hor Fun and curry mee.
I miss the delicious Ipoh Hor Fun that i tried few years back when i dropped by Ipoh town with Yen Pei. May be i should plan a trip back to Ipoh town just to revisit those delicacies.

The OldTown Curry Mee, just can't match the taste of those curry mee that i used to have every week while i studied in KL.

Shot these photos about 2 weeks ago when i fetched my parent to my sister’s house. As usual, i brought my gears and hunted for the flowers and bee at the backyard. I enjoyed my time shooting around the backyard there because i hardly found any friendly bee at my backyard. May be i need to do more gardening just to fill up my backyard with more plant and flowers to attract this tiny insect.
These few shots were captured using the RAW file format and i subsequently converted them into black and white. For me, black & white is always the best way to produce pleasing image that i like.

I hardly have the chance to cook for my parent simply because my mum’s cooking is my dad’s only choice for all these years. For the last few years, i believe the only chance for me to cook for my dad was during the last Chinese New Year Eve dinner as mum was in Brunei. That was an unforgettable experience for me as it took me about 2 days just to prepare dad’s favorite dishes. Frankly speaking, i believe dad still prefer to have mum to prepare for the dinner if it is possible.
Few weeks ago when my sister was back in Kuching, she suggested to have a simple dinner at my home as we hardly have the chance to dine together. Well, i don’t have 2 days to prepare for it just like the previous dinner. Every thing has to be very simply so i just dropped by the supermarket to get some vegetables for the salad, a spring chicken and some lamb shoulder for oven roast. It seen like very simple and easy that all dishes can be prepared earlier but i still end up spent the whole afternoon in my kitchen just to get the food ready by the evening.
Once again, i have to admit that my cooking was not my dad’s taste. May be it is a bit disappointing that i can’t prepare an appetising dinner for my dad but i treasure the chance to cook for my parent. Even though it was really a tiring and mind exhausiting process but it is worth for me.

It was an early sunday morning with the diffused warm sunlight gently penetrating into the bedroom through the sliding door. Little Jerome woke up early to get his cloth changed then laying in his baby cot starring at the clear blue sky outside.
I saw calmness in his eye with the peaceful sight looking forward. For me that is something which is diminishing from most of us as we grow up. Take a breath and recall when was the last time that you found calmness and peacefulness in you eyes as you wake up.
Wish you have a nice weekend.

I spent most of my childhood time in the kitchen watching my mum prepared the meals for my family instead of hanging-out in the playground with other children. Even though my mum is just an ordinary housewife who never attends any cooking class yet she does great cooking with her own secret recipes that accumulated from years of experience. May be that is the only explanation to my big tummy since I was small. ![]()
After years, I only managed to memorise a few of my mum’s great recipes. With that few recipes I cooked for my friends who desperately missed the Malaysian cuisine while we studied in UK. It was a precious enjoyment to have the spicy curry or hot bak-kut-teh with my friends in the chilling weather far away from our home country.
After back to Malaysia, I did not have much chance to cook simply because kitchen is strictly my mum’s territory all the times. It was until I moved into my own house about a year ago that I managed to pick up my wok and recall those secret recipes again.
Beside photography, cooking has become another leisure activity for me over the weekend. Simply spice up my life….
Last Sunday morning i managed to find this tiny dragonfly resting on the potted plant when i was preparing to wash my car so i quickly grabbed my camera to shoot a few shots before it flied away.
Cant remember when was my last time picked up my camera to do close up shot with insect already since i moved into my new home. Just wish that i could have more time to dating with the little insect.
